Hi everyone! sorry its so long between posts, i dont get much time on the computer these days...
i got some somewhat good news today. i saw another orthopedic surgeon about my ankle, which is really killing me these days. this pain has been going on for almost a year now and no one could figure out what was causing it, well i found out today that the problem isnt in my ankle at all. its in my back! i have "L-5 ridiculopathy" . which i think is something like a pinched nerve or a slipped disk? the doc wasnt too specific. normally the treatment is steroids but since im pregnant they have to take a more 'holistic' approach. so i'll be getting PT 2x a week for the duration of this pregnancy. i'm just glad to have finally found out what's wrong!! he said it was probably caused by my spinal block with hailyn and just waited a few months to get worse and worse before the nerves misread it as ankle pain. go figure! the human body is the most amazing thing isnt it??
Poor miss hailyn has to go to the doctor tommorw as she ruptured her ear drum. its been bleeding since friday =[ and tommorw is her 15 month check up. but she wont need any shots this time! yay! we had to go in last week to get her chicken pox shot since my dad was hit with a bout of the shingles =[ i also had to get my blood drawn to be sure i was immune to varicella, and i am so that was good. no shots for me!!
We were lucky enough to go to the park this past week what with the great weather. hailyn LOVES swings! she laughed the entire time she was on it! even if she is pretty small in the swing, she sure seemed to enjoy it.
next tuesday i'll be going to the OB for a quad screen to rule out down syndrome and open spine/ spina bifida in our latest love bundle... i'm hoping she'll also do an ultra sound so we can find out the gender. eric so desperatley wants a boy and i'd love to be able to give him that good news! if she doesnt do it next week then we'll probably have to wait until 20 weeks. we'll see!!
i have heard from eric twice since he left, he's doing well but is very very busy and very very tired. keep him in your thoughts and prayers as always!! we miss him very much!! we hope you all have a great week =] <3 kelsey && hailyn
