Sunday October 3, 2010 - at 12:30 i had a lot of bleeding and was rushed to the hospital, i had a placental abruption, the placenta tore away from the uterine lining prematurely. at first everything seemed ok and they were about to send me home when Phenix's heart rate dropped from 150s to just 50. they rushed me to the OR and he was born at 1:51 pm. i was placed under general anesthesia - they didnt have time to do an epidural or spinal. infact i was out before they even placed an IV! Phenix was born at 6lbs 9oz and 19 inches long. he's a very healthy boy! Eric arrived home Tuesday afternoon - i cant even tell you all how incredible he's been through this whole ordeal! we're home now but im still so sore i can barely get out of a chair without his help - so he's been taking care of me and both kids! and not one complaint! i am so lucky to have him - he's gone above and beyond expectations! Hailyn really loves her little brother, she likes to pet his hair and give him kisses! she just needs to be watched closely as she doesnt understand 'gentle' yet. We are very very lucky that Phenix and i made it - there was alot of bleeding! God was really watching over us on Sunday (and every day since of course) Eric and i are so greatful for these two beautiful kiddos of ours. =]
