Hi everyone! i decided to just set up a blog instead of trying to send out update emails to everyone (which i've been forgetting to do lately!) We're doing great right now! very anxious to get home! we have a very special family addition joining us on October 5th, Hailyn will be recieveing her very first Service Dog! Thanks to my parents helping out, we were able to get Hailyn a Bernese Mountain Dog, with Service dog certification! we will be training him to assist her in anyway possible, after the suggestion of her Occupational Therapist (and hours of research!) we are very excited about it! we plan on naming him after whichever NCIS charecter he most reminds us of. =] Eric is on an advanced party for his feild training this month so he will be leaving on the 11th for that. (he leaves WI on the 6th, hailyn and i will stay there until he gets back, probably around the 30th) i cant believe he's already getting ready to go again! Hailyn is still 10lbs 11oz, she has not gained any weight all summer. we will begin adding microlipids (pretty much pure fat...) to her milk as soon as the home health agency delivers it. she continues OT twice a week and will begin Physical therapy twice a week as well, once we get back from our vacation. She is now sitting up on her own and has cut her 2nd tooth just this afternoon! she has both bottom teeth now. she also drinks water out of pop top water bottles, loves to "nom" on bagels, beef jerky, carrot & celery sticks and pretty much anything else she can chew on without swallowing. she learned how to lay herself down from a sitting position without conking her head on anything, and has quite the little attitude to herself. she is very self confident! =] We went shopping a few weeks ago and got her a halloween costume, she is going to be a hotdog! a very pretty hot dog!
as for me, i have up'd in "rank" in my scentsy job which earns me a large amount of product credit and higher commission so i was glad about that. i'm looking forward to my party on friday! i will also be starting nursing school in January. i'm going to get my 2 year RN lisence and then move on to a better degree when i have more time, ideally i would like to work in the NICU.
So things are going quite well for us lately! we cant wait to come home and see everyone!
Good Idea with he blog Kelsey. We are looking forward to seen you guys when you get back to Wisconsin.
