Hailyn had OT today, (we work on muscle strengthening, development, and feeding.) today we worked mostly on feeding, Hailyn's doing so well that she has been permitted to move on to 'stage 2' foods (slightly thicker then purees) and we can now include meat in her diet, not just fruits and veggies. she tried beef tonight and was NOT a fan. not that i blame her. i usually try all the foods before i give them to her, but the beef i wouldnt go near! YUCK! she preffers her oatmeal to be made with apple juice instead of water, she gags on it otherwise. but she does love it with apple juice! She still isnt able to drink though, which is why she still uses the tube. we will have to keep it for much longer then planned with her 'failure to thrive' issue. Tricare denied our request for the microlipid solution but i have a caseworker and two doctors on it, proving to the isurance company why she HAS to have it. we have one doctor apt tommorw, then will spend the rest of the day packing and relaxing before our trip. we have to leave the house around 330AM! we're looking very forward to the "vacation" even though we'll be very busy. its always stressful trying to get around to see everyone, but i will also be doing a lot of 'work' while we're home, between applying to MATC to start nursing school and trying to get in a few recreational classes. not to mention training our new puppy! that right there is a full time job in it self!
