i had to take phenix in today as he as been making a loud gasping sound many many times a day. it was making us nervous even though its been going on for a few months so to the docs we went. they say he has: Laryngomalacia: definition: (literally, "soft larynx") is a very common condition of infancy, in which the soft, immature cartilage of the upper larynx collapses inward during inhalation, causing airway obstruction. (thank you wikipedia..)
so he will be going to a pulmonologist down at balboa within the next 2-3 weeks.(because we SO needed another appointment!!) my dad suggest we get our membership from the "disease of the month club" revoked. i always love his humor! =]
otherwise phenix is doing well. hes HUGE as you saw in the last photo.. hes a little linebacker now! hes 13.2lbs & 25in long. hes very smiley and sweet. Hailyn loves him and loves to make him laugh. it always cracks me up when she tries to get me to take him out of his bouncy chair or swing because "she wants to sit there." ^_^
tomorrow eric is going in to see is he can get two of his wisdom teeth out. they'll either do it tomorrow or set up a different appointment time if their full, then he'll get two days off to recover. i hope he has it done tomorrow so he can stay home with us! we always enjoy spending time with him!
